Whetstone & Chisel™ brand was created out of passion for carpentry and appreciation of mid-century style. Since the coffee table has become the centre piece of every British lounge in the late 18th century, it is difficult to imagine a living room without one today. As practical as it is, it also makes a personal statement and creates atmosphere around itself, setting the mood within your sanctuary of relaxation. In the process of designing each table we strive to deliver the desired effect of natural, earthy tones and textures, combined with a traditional, solid, strong structure.
DESIGN
AND QUALITY
It is challenging to combine the two together in a way, that delivers uncompromised build strength, aesthetic and practicality. Whetstone & Chisel™ coffee tables incorporate these elements in a unique way with use of highest grade, hand-picked redwood timber for main frame assembly, robust and appealing joinery, featuring the castle joint. High quality, 18mm thick, structural grade hardwood ply is used for the table top base, eliminating the slightest chance of cracking of grout. Highest quality tiles are carefully selected and arranged to achieve perfection. Every table is hand-sanded and brushed with 3 coats of premium wood stain to ensure superior finish. Tile adhesive, grout and top coat are waterproof.
